The owners of Villacoco had a clear vision for their home – a modern Mediterranean inspired home with soul. Working closely with @smub_studio and @nextgen_design_construct the carefully chosen materials for this home are luxe, raw and warm.
Everywhere you look in Villacoco lies an appreciation for the untamed beauty of nature. The carefully chosen raw elements bring character and warmth to the home, reminding us of nature’s inherent charm.
However, the home doesn’t shy away from luxury. It embraces it with elegance and poise. The result is a calming and sophisticated ambience that exudes warmth and rustic charm.
The kitchen in this home really is spectacular and has received a lot of well deserved attention. The selection of stone, tiles and cabinetry is perfectly complementary giving a luxe calm feel – setting the scene for the rest of the home.
SMUB and the owners chose Pulia marble to complement the muted palette and natural materials but still allowing for texture and interest within the stone.

The Pulia marble was continued in the luxe bathrooms and laundry along with other beautifully selected materials.
This was a new style for @nextgen_design_construct and they found it a welcome challenge. “New to old is always a tough thing to do but I think it is seamless on this job. With high ceiling in the new areas we used VELUX skylights in the original areas to help with the low ceilings. The kitchen in this place is very on trend with the tiled island complementing the marble bench tops and elegant oak joinery.”
