Some homes are designed around a single idea.
Pronto was designed around a collection of them.
On the Gold Coast, LUNE set out to create a home that felt warm, moody and layered, bringing together the darker character of mid-century design with the softer, more relaxed feel of Mediterranean architecture.
It sounds like a complicated brief.
In practice, it came down to choosing materials that worked together without making every room feel the same.

The first decision was the chocolate-toned timber flooring. From there, the palette began to build. Florentine Walnut cabinetry from Polytec continued the warmth of the timber, while stone became an opportunity to introduce something more individual.
Rather than choosing one stone and repeating it throughout the house, LUNE wanted each space to have its own personality.
And they weren’t afraid to let the materials do the talking.

In the kitchen, butler’s pantry, laundry and bar, Breccia Pastello marble from Finestone became one of the defining materials of the home.
It was love at first slab.
LUNE had spent time looking through the range, waiting for a stone that felt right rather than simply ticking the practical boxes. Breccia Pastello stood out for its warmth and the depth of colour running through its veining.

Against the dark timber palette, it brings movement and character without disrupting the mood of the home.
The kitchen also includes a Pitt induction cooktop, with the cooktop integrated directly into the stone. Rather than trying to hide the technology, the detail becomes part of the architecture of the kitchen.
It is a good example of the thinking behind Pronto: practical decisions don’t have to be boring ones.

The alfresco marks a subtle shift.
Here, Dark Emperador marble from Finestone carries some of the deeper tones of the interior into the home’s Mediterranean-inspired exterior.
Against textured render, the dark stone brings weight and contrast, while aluminium battens in a smoked oak finish create another connection back to the timber tones inside.

The result is less about matching everything and more about creating a conversation between the materials.
Inside and outside feel related, without looking like they were ordered as a matching set.
As you move through the rest of the home, the palette becomes richer and more expressive.
Rather than repeating the same materials and tones from room to room, the design introduces deeper colour, texture and pattern, giving each space its own personality while still feeling connected to the home as a whole.
Rich atmospheric walls in some of the more intimate spaces, while considered combinations of colour and texture add a distinctly mid-century feel, with just enough boutique-hotel influence to make things interesting.
This more expressive approach continues upstairs, where the materials and finishes shift again, creating spaces that feel individual but never disconnected from the overall story.
It’s a small but thoughtful detail. The rooms don’t need to match to belong together.

That sense of individuality is central to the way LUNE approaches its projects.
Founded by Jesse Nelmes and Bailey Lund, the Gold Coast-based residential development and construction company works closely from the earliest stages of finding a site through to the final details of the build.

Bailey brings a strong creative eye to each home, while Jesse brings the building experience needed to work through how those ideas can actually be brought to life.
That collaboration is reflected in the finished homes.
LUNE doesn’t want to build the same house over and over again. Architecture, stone, timber, colour and texture are all opportunities to experiment and give each project its own identity.

For Pronto, that meant resisting the temptation to find one beautiful material and use it everywhere.
Instead, each room was given its own moment.
Breccia Pastello brings warmth and movement to the main living spaces. Dark Emperador helps the home transition outdoors. Red and pink travertines bring a little unpredictability to the bathrooms and powder room. Liza stone quietly ties some of those more unexpected choices back together.

Different stories.
One home.
And perhaps that’s what makes Pronto so memorable. It doesn’t feel like every decision was made to impress. It feels like the decisions were made because someone genuinely cared about how the home would feel to live in.
Which, as LUNE puts it, is exactly the point.
These are homes they would want to live in themselves.
And that is usually a pretty good place to start.
