Introducing a very special space, The Jade House
Jade is known as ‘the stone of heaven’ and is the inspiration behind this meticulously designed home. The brief was to capture the owner’s favourite places they’d discovered from their travels around the world, into a space that symbolises the jade stone, through wellness, self discovery and prosperity. The result, is a space that brings a little bit of the world’s wonder and luxury, to the centre of the Gold Coast.
When the owners of this ambitious project first contacted Jacinta from Design Scout Interiors she had just had her first baby. But from that first meeting Jacinta knew this endeavour was too special to pass up.
“Throughout my career I have not witnessed such care and detail taken to a project.”
Every space has been thoughtfully considered with ceiling detail, walls wrapped in wallpaper or clad in timber. The goal was to create textured layers of natural finishes for an elegant, relaxing space. The entrance of the house is a masterpiece of design, seamlessly blending grandeur and warmth through layers of luxury. A magnificent Axolotl bronze patina door sets the tone, welcoming guests with its timeless elegance. Upon stepping onto the expansive oak floors, one is enveloped in a sense of luxury, further enhanced by the venetian plaster adorning the walls. Anchoring the space is an antique piece and aboriginal artwork, each telling a unique story. Together these elements create an entrance that is not only visually stunning but also emotionally resonant, setting the tone for the luxurious experience that awaits within.
Despite its luxurious finishes and carefully curated elements, this home remains warm and inviting. It embodies architectural elegance without feeling rigid or cold. The thoughtful layering of textures and details feels both deliberate and effortless, creating an atmosphere where everyone instantly feels at home.
The kitchen exudes understated luxury with its solid oak cabinetry, sculptured marble details and handmade Moroccan Zellige tiles. The state-of-the-art appliances seamlessly blend modern convenience and classic design, all anchored by the stunning Calacatta Borghini marble. Together these elements create a kitchen that is not only a culinary haven but also a visual delight, with pops of colour adding a touch of interest to the neutral colour palette.
But oh…….the Powder Room!
Every inch is heaven. Starting with the star of the show – our very own Botanical Green quartzite! This exquisite stone graces both the wall and the vanity, perfectly complemented by brushed brass fittings and a stunning asymmetrical brass mirror. But the beauty doesn’t stop there. Floor to ceiling encaustic tiles create another wall adorned by a gorgeous art deco inspired wall light by James Said. Even the ceiling has been covered in a fabulous metallic raffia Philip Jeffries wallpaper. We die!

The master bedroom is a beautifully designed space, complete with its own kitchen featuring Finestone Calacatta Marble (honestly…why would you ever leave!). As you enter, you’re welcomed by an abundance of natural light and subtle textures that not only captivate but also create a luxurious and calming atmosphere.”
This home has so much more to offer – from the Antique Noir marble in the cellar to the cold plunge, magnesium spa and sauna. Each guest room has its own walk in robe and most even a kitchenette! It has board rooms with custom furniture and an incredible view of the Gold Coast skyline.
In every corner of The Jade House, the careful attention to detail and the seamless blend of luxury and comfort are evident. From the personalised spaces that echo the owners’ world travels to the thoughtfully selected materials that evoke a sense of calm and sanctuary, this home is a testament to the power of design. Every element, from the luxurious finishes to the layered textures, reflects a commitment to excellence, making this space not just a place to live, but a place to thrive.
