A MASTERCLASS IN MATERIAL RICHNESS

Striking from the street yet warm and inviting, Amaia is a home that captures the essence of Spanish-inspired architecture while embracing modern luxury. Designed by Our Next Project and built by PJH Constructions, the residence blends natural textures, sweeping curves, and refined materials, with the striking Silver River Marble as a central design feature — to create a home that feels both timeless and contemporary.

A SPANISH-INSPIRED VISION

Externally, Amaia’s façade draws on classic Spanish architecture, defined by its natural stone, timber battening, and warm-hued render. This combination sets a welcoming tone while also giving the home a point of difference within the neighbourhood.

Inside, the design continues with sweeping arches, curved detailing, and finishes such as micro cement and limestone flooring. The kitchen becomes a true highlight, where a marble splashback and benchtop in Silver River bring depth and luxury to the clean, minimal palette. To balance the warmth of these natural materials, the team introduced accents of black aluminium in doors and lighting, along with aged bronze fittings. The result is a home that feels grounded in tradition yet distinctly modern in its execution.

STONE AS A STATEMENT – SILVER RIVER MARBLE

In both the kitchen and alfresco spaces, Finestone’s Silver River Marble plays a starring role. Used for the splash backs and bench tops, its rich brown veining against a light grey background creates a striking contrast to the warm renders and soft micro cement walls.

The design team chose Silver River Marble not only for its visual drama but also for its versatility. Flowing seamlessly from the kitchen to the outdoor entertaining area, the stone becomes a unifying element — a thread of luxury that ties the interiors to the exterior. Its natural variation and movement lend a refined yet contemporary feel, perfectly complementing Amaia’s blend of Spanish architecture and modern detailing.

DESIGNED FOR LIFESTYLE AND LIVEABILITY

From the outset, maximising the waterfront views was a key part of the design brief. The team carefully shaped the floor plan to ensure the water is visible from the moment you enter the home, while still retaining lawn space and outdoor entertaining areas for a large family.

With five bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a master retreat all on a single level, functionality and flow were paramount. The home features distinct living zones that connect seamlessly, alongside a dedicated wellness retreat complete with an outdoor barrel sauna and cold plunge — an element designed to bring luxury resort living into the everyday.

As co-owners of PJH Constructions and Our Next Project, the team behind Amaia has built a reputation for delivering homes that are as practical as they are beautiful. Their projects are defined by attention to detail, thoughtful floor planning, and a focus on materials that elevate the everyday.
