Allambi House underwent extensive renovation, resulting in a new four-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bathroom, and two-living-area home with a spacious backyard and pool/spa. “As we have completed many projects over the years, our style has evolved. My husband, Eddie suggested a mid-century modern style. After researching I fell in love with the lively colours, textures, and designs of that time. The house embodies all the distinctive features of a mid-century home with luxurious modern amenities. Our efforts took us six months, and we are so satisfied with the outcome.”
“Among the many incredible features of our home, the open-plan kitchen is my favourite. The integrated appliances and Verde Cotto Granite create a luxurious feel, while remaining highly functional. As someone who enjoys cooking and entertaining, this was a necessity. I always wanted a stone splashback, and the final result exceeded my expectations.” says Interior Designer Perri.
Granite is a popular choice for kitchen countertops and other kitchen surfaces because it is a durable natural stone that withstands daily wear and tear well. The Verde Cotto Granite is truly one of our most stunning stones. The greens and browns mirror nature’s colour palette beautifully which allows it to sit so comfortably within the space at Allambi House. It perfectly complements the rich natural tones of the cabinetry, flooring and inside-outside open plan design.
“Im obsessed with stone and would have it everywhere if I could. I feel like its such a durable and high end product that just looks beautiful every time. This was my first time going so adventurous with colours so I knew I needed to see as many options as possible. As loyal clients of Finestone, we love the wide array of choices that their factory offers.
Visiting their facility and seeing the complete slab is invaluable. It provides a clearer idea of how the stone will appear in the project. The staff are helpful in providing suggestions. Craig, for instance, advised me on the two stones which I ultimately selected for Allambi House.”
Perri continued the use of Finestone throughout the Allambi bathrooms. Again the stones complementing the mid century natural theme that is carried so seamlessly through the house.
The main bathroom is truly striking with the Verde Cotto stone repeated here along with the bold and beautiful choice of rich green tiling. We just love it!
Perri fell in love with out Diana Rose Marble. And why wouldn’t she? It’s such a pretty stone destined to create a special place.
Chosen for the guest ensuite Perri could have stopped with the beautiful marble feature stone, but we love that she didn’t! Using the marble as a base for her colour palette she paired it with these amazing checkered terracotta tiles. The result is a sophisitcated funky hotel vibe that continues the modern mid-century aesthetic.
Allambi house is a huge achievement from this experienced renovating team. Every detail has been thoughtfully curated to create a stunning home that is rich in colour, vibrancy and style but is also a calm warm home that will stand the test of time.
And the best news is Perri is now offering renovating and design consultation to the public. “The last 10 years I’ve exclusively done it for our own projects but I’m very excited to help others now. It’s all operated through Renovating mates and I am assisting people in home styling, new build plan consultancy, product sourcing and new home selections.”
We can’t wait to see what @renovatingmates does next!
