Where Effortless Living Meets Timeless Appeal
In the heart of Broadbeach on the Gold Coast, 35 Savoy Drive stands as a warm, textural example of how thoughtful design, quality craftsmanship, and natural materials can transform a house into a home. The brainchild of interior design studio House of Pez, and brought to life by Beith Building, this residence is a masterclass in effortless living, with natural stone playing a defining role in its timeless charm.
.
A Home Rooted in Simplicity and Substance
Rather than leaning into a defined aesthetic, Perri from House of Pez set out to create a home that felt relaxed, grounded, and beautifully functional.
“We really wanted to create a house that welcomed easy living,” she explains. “We chose classic, hard-wearing materials like timber, stone, and concrete for their durability and timeless appeal.”
The interior palette echoes the surrounding landscape, with warm, earthy tones of browns, oranges, and greens forming the base for a tactile and welcoming aesthetic. It’s a space designed to be lived in – not just admired – with every surface considered for how it feels and ages.

Natural Stone that Shifted the Mood
A key player in bringing the materiality of the home to life was the natural stone supplied by Finestone. Initially, a more expensive product was specified, but when budget realities set in, Perri turned to the experts from Finestone for help.
The result was serendipitous.
“Craig helped me find something that was more affordable, and honestly, I was really glad it happened,” says Pez. “Our second option completely changed the vibe of the project — for the better.”
That second option? A combination of Nacarado Polished Quartzite and Verde Antiqua Polished Marble, both chosen for their beauty, durability, and unique natural character.

Stone in all the Right Places
Each application of stone brought a unique texture and energy to its space, tying together the natural materials palette and elevating the overall design.

The Finestone Difference
For House of Pez, the collaboration with Finestone was more than a product supply — it was a relationship built on genuine expertise and care. “You just can’t beat that level of customer service and knowledge around stone,” says Pez. “It made the whole process easy, and the result speaks for itself.”
35 Savoy is a shining example of what happens when thoughtful design, skilled craftsmanship, and natural materials come together in perfect balance. The result is a home that’s not only beautiful, but deeply livable – and it’s proof that with the right team and materials, functionality and style can go hand in hand.

MORE ABOUT PERRI AND THE HOUSE OF PEZ

Perri and her husband Eddie (@beithbuildinganddevelopments) began their renovation journey 12 years ago when they bought their first property, a unit on the Gold Coast. They poured their hearts into building and renovating, and haven’t stopped since. With a passion for designing unique homes, a lot of learning along the way, the couple created Renovating Mates.
Now, with a wealth of experience under their belts and a kick ass portfolio of work Perri has rebranded Renovating Mates to House of Pez. House of Pez reflects the couple’s growth into a larger team, fresh energy and an even “stronger commitment to creating homes that are as unique as the people who live in them.”
